SERVICING
Regular servicing is vital to keep your bike running smoothly and efficiently.
A poorly-kept bike can end up costing you more to repair, so it makes sense to keep your bike in good shape.
At Ascent Cycles we offer 2 core services to choose from.

Drivetrain service
A full drivetrain transmission degrease, cleaning all parts before
re-lubrication (also includes gear operation check and adjustments)

Chain, cassette, jockey wheels, front & rear gear mechanisms de-greased, cleaned, checked for wear and lubricated. (customer may specify which type of lube is used)

Gears adjusted for full function
NB. Any parts that need replacing will be at an additional cost (plus labour for fitting of new parts)

Safety Check Service
A thorough bicycle MOT ensures your cycle is safe and comfortable to ride.

Full assessment and safety check of all components on the bike

Brake callipers, brake pads, and cables checked

Gears, gear cables, and drivetrain checked for wear and adjusted

Chain is checked and re-lubricated

Steering; headset checked for wear and adjusted

Tyres and rims checked for wear and inner tubes inflated

Wheels; hubs checked for wear and adjusted, wheels trued if needed
NB. Any parts that need replacing will be at an additional cost (plus labour for fitting of new parts)

Terms & Conditions
Any replacement parts will be quoted before repair or replacement but will not be covered under the normal service packages.
Any information or advice supplied is provided is in good faith and reflects reasonable care & skill.
All work carried out is in accordance with recognised commercial practice & standards in the cycle industry.
